As part of the celebratory ‘10 Years of Freerange’ tour, February 9th will see Freerange bring a huge line up of Mala, Joker, Flirta D and Riz La Teef to Patterns, for a night of serious 140bpm that is not to be missed.

Leading the bill is none other than Mala, the producer, DJ and label boss who has been at the forefront of the dubstep scene since 2004. Accounting for one half of Digital Mystikz, Mala boasts a discography arguably unmatched by anyone else in the scene, with the impact of tracks such as ‘Anti War Dub’, ‘Changes’ and ‘Alicia’ having been felt far beyond dubstep circles. Expect a huge set packed with dubplate pressure like this one at Boiler Room.

Next, up is Joker; who’s track ‘Mad Night’, released on his own label Kapsize, took 2017 by storm. Having had releases on Hyperdub, Tectonic, Terrorhythm and 4AD, Joker’s colourful productions have been making waves in the dubstep scene and beyond since 2007. Expect a frenzy of vibrant dubstep and grimey sounds, which will be spat over by one of grime's finest…

For this special night, Joker will be paired with Flirta D, whose sound effects when MC’ing are imprinted firmly in grime history. As a member of SLK, Flirta D is responsible for contributing to one of the most legendary anthems of grime with ‘Hype Hype’, and his clash with D Double E at Eskimo Dance remains to be of the most unforgettable moments in the history of the famous night.

Also featuring on this huge line up is Riz La Teef, who effortlessly incorporates the sounds of funky, garage, grime and dubstep to shut down the dance. A true vinyl connoisseur, expect dubplates galore and blends that make this night one to remember. Watch him mix his most prized dubplates here.
