Don't Miss: Pop-Up Fashion Shop @ The One Eyed Dog

by Becca Drage, Apr 13, 2018

Help save the world with fashion at this groovy pop-up fashion shop at The One-Eyed Dog

On April 29th  from 12pm, The One Eyed Dog is holding a pop-up fashion shop in partnership with lifestyle blogger Ecowildchild.

The event seeks to raise money for Fashion Revolution – a charity which aims to spread awareness of workplace conditions and staff treatment, particularly in the clothing industry. It comes after the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh on April the 24th 2013, where a five-storey garment factory collapsed killing over 1100 workers.

Over 2500 more were injured and had to be rescued, it was the deadliest accidental structural failure in modern human history. Ecowildchild and The One Eyed Dog have brought together members of the local community who want to make sure these kinds of accidents don't happen again, and make you look fabulous in the process!

There will be a total of 9 stands with various new and pre-loved quality goods. We're also not sure where else you can buy clothes and drink shots simultaneously.

So on top of getting great deals for vintage clothes, it’s even better to know that your money is going towards a great cause. It's really encouraging to see the Portsmouth community coming together for charity, and what greater Pompey student pastime to accompany it than having a pint at The Dog. Make sure you check out Ecowildchild either via her blog or Twitter and Instagram.

Her blog is an emporium of fashion insights, including how to look stylish in the wet weather, the 10 x 10 challenge (keeping only 10 items of clothing for 10 days and styling them differently every day, sounds tough), and how to manage your clothes shopping. If fashion tips is what you need, then it looks like she’s your girl.

Items will start from as little as £1 and the bar will also be keeping a charity bucket available for you to donate some cash towards Fashion Revolution. Keep an eye out for special posters on the day that you can snap a photo with and share via social media, asking your favourite clothing brand #whomademyclothes.
