An extraordinary new outdoor event, The Ends Festival will take place at Lloyd Park on 31 May – 02 June. The festival has announced that they aim to "engage and inspire local, national, and international communities of composers, performers, creators, and concert-goers through world-class performances". We can't wait for The Ends, London's most widely anticipated new event of 2019.
Situated just outside of inner London, Lloyd Park in Croydon is where The Ends 2019 will debut May 31st.
Friday: The first day is all about hip-hop royalty; Crown Heights, New York's very own nasty Nas is in your area. Eight consecutive multi-platinum selling albums, 30 million records sold, an undisputable rap legend. If that wasn't enough, another iconic hip-hop act, De La Soul are coming to London too as is Croydon's very own talented MC, Nadia Rose.
Saturday: Nigerian singer-songwriter, WizKid, started making his mark on the music industry at the age of 11. His music falls between afrobeat and dancehall - the perfect rhythm for a summers day dancing.
Sunday: The final day has Damiem Marley, son of Bob Marley and reggae icon in his own right take to the main stage. Our pick of the day however is Nao, the incredible RnB singer coined the term "wonky funk" to describe her style which we think is spot on.
