Acid house is a subgenre of house music developed around the mid-1980s by DJs from Chicago. The style was defined primarily by the deep basslines and "squelching" sounds of the Roland TB-303 electronic synthesizer-sequencer. Acid house spread to the United Kingdom and continental Europe, where it found its place in Manchester and helped define the underground club scene we know and love today.
On the 17th of May our team is taking over Indigo to take you on a journey through the evolution of the acid sound playing Acid house, Techno, Electro and all the squelchy bits inbetween. Expect Acid themed club decor, a night full of heaters all packed into the gem of a basement that is indigo.
