You could prevent the closure of another Bristol music venue AND own part of Exchange

Bristol music venue Exchange has announced it is opening to investors to help it survive and continue serving the local community.

We've already had the demise of the Star and Garter and the Bierkeller in Bristol, as well as several other music venues across the country, so we need to do all we can to help keep Exchange alive.

A provider of so much great new music, the 250 capacity site has hosted the likes of George Ezra, The 1975, Sleaford Mods, Rag'n'Bone Man and more in the past. Not only that, there are record stores and offices for local music businesses to work.

It recently became a Community Interest Company, basically meaning they work with loads of different and exciting projects to keep its programme diverse. Exchange has offerings up to every day of the week and it's sad to see it as such a risk of closure, but there is a way we can help.

A post on their Facebook page has given the local community the opportunity to invest in the venue, meaning the way Exchange is run will also now be decided by the city. It will cost quite a bit if you want to invest yourself, with £250 being the minimum spend, however if you're strapped for cash you can still help out in other ways when filling out the form.

We're big fans of small music venues promoting new talent here at native, so it would be really sad to see Exchange go. You can find out more details here.
