They add to the massive line-up for next weekend

Though Reading and Leeds Festival takes over Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park in just over a week's time, N.E.R.D. have apparently announced themsleves as a last minite line-up addition.

In what seems like a PR cock-up, the band, made up of Pharrell Williams, Chad Huge and Shay Haley, have listed Leeds and Reading performances on 25th and 26th August, respectfully, as tour dates on their website. Reading and Leeds is yet to confirm the announcement.

The festival, which takes place every year over the August Bank Holiday, will this year feature headliners Fall Out Boy, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Panic! At The Disco and Kings Of Leon, with Courteeners, The Vaccines, Dua Lipa and The Kooks adding to the line-up.

The festival has faced complaints over recent years with line-ups deviating from traiditonal 'rock' (yawwwwn), and it seems N.E.R.D. may be bringing more hip-hop to this year's line up.

It is yet to be confirmed whether the performance will be one of the festival's famous 'secret sets' or a rumoured special guest slot. Other acts rumoured for secret sets are Bring Me The Horizon, Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes and Liam Gallagher - though we've checked the forecast and it's not parka weather.
