Something as simple as 10-year-old quote is enough to get everyone obsessed with headliner theories

The rumour mill has begun early this year for the biggest festival on the planet: Glastonbury. After taking a year off last summer, the largest party in a field will return next June (probably). Recent headliners have included Muse, Coldplay, Radiohead, Ed Sheeran and Foo Fighters, but one of this year's headliners might be a little different.

Cast your mind back to 2008, if you remember it (we don't). England hadn't qualified for the European Championships, this year's freshers students were in Year Four, and Glasto was headlined by Jay-Z. Oasis were also still a thing, and one of the main men Noel Gallagher was not happy with his booking back then.

Reading & Leeds this year got a lot of stick for the heavily diverse lineup, with fans fearing it was steering too far away from its traditional rock roots, and the same could be said for Glasto a decade ago, according to Noel.

He let out his frustration at Jay-Z's top spot through saying: "No, I'm not havin' hip hop at Glastonbury. Fucking no chance." Now, bookies believe grime king Stormzy will be headlining next year's editon after he put Noel's quote up on his Instagram story. It really does just take an action that small to get conspiracy theories going about festival headliners.

Nonetheless, he's now just 7/2 to be heading to Worthy Farm. Other favourites to be announced include Kendrick Lemar, Arctic Monkeys and Calvin Harris.

We also noticed ABBA are favourites. ABBA. Headlining Glasto in 2019. What would you say to that Rkid?
