TMZ reported earlier that Miller was found at around 12pm Friday at his home in California and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. 

Miller, real name Malcolm James McCormick, had battled substance abuse issues for years and was recently charged with a DUI at two times the legal limit after crashing his G-Wagon into a pole in Los Angeles this May.

Ex-partner Ariana Grande had made it clear that Miller's substance abuse issues were at least partially responsible for their breakup.

Wiz Khalifa, also a Pittsburgh native, tweeted, “Praying for Mac’s family and that he rest easy.”

Miller was 26 and had released his latest album, Swimming, only a month earlier on August 3.

Mac was scheduled to start touring next month in support of the release.
