Harnessing all the fantastic talent passing through and coming from our gifted city, the seaside venue will host a series of regular events over the next coming months.

For the launch edition, local label and pioneering Brighton institution Mr Bongo will be joined by Joe Armon-Jones, the Ezra Collective co-cofounder, keyboard wizard, and overall leader of the wave of jazz musicians emerging from the UK. Mr Bongo will then be curating the series moving forward over the next few weeks.

Brighton has become a haven for jazz talent in recent years, with notable spots, such as The Verdict (voted one of the top Jazz clubs in Europe by the Guardian), Love Supreme Festival, and Jazz Re:Fest (Jazz Re:freshed festival's at the Dome) all catalysing the scene forward.

Located on the ground floor bar, a space that has propelled the careers of Footshooter, Vels Trio and many many more, Patterns are giving old crows and new roosters alike a platform to showcase their talent.

Every event will be curated by a label, artist or collective of creatives akin to the scene, and each event will feature an up and coming live act with DJ support from the hosts.

There is no better initiator on this fresh night than Joe-Armon-Jones, a rare talent who combines traditional Jazz, Hip-Hop and Dub flows, creating a clash of cultures that feels completely unique yet undeniably familiar.
