The seasoned Brighton promoters prove their pedigree yet again by bringing Joy Orbison, Leon Vynehall, and the Shall Not Fade crew to Patterns

With over 150 parties thrown since 2010, AKA AKA ROAR is one of Brighton's most experienced promoters and one of the most esteemed in the UK. Their booking history denotes a prescience for dance music that most promoters can only dream of, with the likes of Ben UFO, George Fitzgerald, Midland, and countless others playing for AKA years before reaching the celestial status that they enjoy today.

Returning for a mouth-watering ninth season of events, AKA's September-December schedule is is a triple-header of parties featuring elite DJs and new talents alike:

3 Years of Shall Not Fade 22.09

First up, AKA bring Bristolian vinyl-only record label Shall Not Fade to the seafront, lining up with three of the imprint's most exciting talents. Loods, who broke through side-by-side with Mall Grab on the irresistible Shall Not Fade 12", 'Love Is Real', has now established himself as a tremendous producer and DJ. He'll be accompanied by wise-beyond-his-years, LK, whose lo-fi productions bear textures reminiscent of Floating Points' spaciest work, plus label manager KGW.

Joy Orbison B2B Jon K (All Night Long) 10.11

Tickets here

"Don't work too hard on the event copy for this one" reads the event copy for AKA's second show. A humorous decision that is, to be fair, entirely justified. Joy Orbison is a bonafide legend in electronic music at this point. From 2009's 'Hyph Mngo' to 2012's 'Mercy', much of what Joy O has produced is considered seminal amongst dance music heads of every ilk - from dubstep fans to techno purists.

Playing all night long back to back with 'your favourite DJ's favourite DJ', Manchester's Jon K, AKA's November show promises to untold underground wonder.

Leon Vynehall and Pearson Sound 08.12

Tickets here

Two artists that have blurred the lines between dance, ambient, house, techno and numerous other frankly inadequate labels, the final AKA show of the season is a very special homecoming for former AKA resident Leon Vynehall, who finishes his first ever live tour of new album Nothing Is Still in November.

Never one for half measures, AKA's second headliner of the evening is Hessle Audio co-founder Pearson Sound, who has drawn critical acclaim for making cutting-edge music which, despite (or perhaps due to) bordering on the avant-garde, creates unforgettable dancefloor moments
