Reports are coming in that the festival is facing administration, putting its future in jeopardy.

Launched in 2004, Bestival has seen the likes of Outkast, The Cure, Tampe Impala and Wiz Khalifa grace their stage in their 15 year existence.

Originally based on the Isle of Wight, Bestival relocated to Dorset in 2017 to make the festival more accessible.

However, this could be the end of one of the South Coast's biggest festivals amid reports of parent companies Bestival Group, Bestival Ltd, and Camp Bestival being placed into administration.

The Sunday Times reported that James Benamor, Bournemouth loan tycoon and founder of Amigo loans, had filed the administration notices at the High Court after extending a £1.6m loan to the festival back in February.

Camp Bestival, Bestival's family-friendly sister event, was also forced to cancel its final day earlier this year due to extreme weather. Organisers promised to issue refunds to all those affected. Although there is no reason yet to believe that this is the cause of Bestival's financial troubles, it's fair to assume that it may be another nail in the coffin.
