The disgraced entrepreneur and ill-fated founder of Fyre Festival, pleaded guilty to fraud earlier this year

Who can forget the Fyre Festival scandal? It feels like only yesterday wealthy partygoers were stranded on a desert island, fighting for survival, desperately trying to source food, water, and accommodation.

It was almost like Lost, Black Mirror and The Hunger Games - had somehow amalgamated and given birth to a dystopian reality show, where young-attractive elites are promised a luxury festival in the Bahamas, but as soon as they arrive, they are told they have to fight to the death and shit in a bucket.

Described as a 'serial fraudster' who had been dishonest for 'most of his life' by the US Judge Nao, Reice Buchwald - McFarland admitted to even more fraud on another ticket-selling scam, that he set up while on bail for Fyre Festival fraud charges.

Festival-goers, with more money than sense, were charged between a whopping £900 to £75,000 for a ticket. Fyre was described by the 'consummate con artist' himself as a 'cultural moment created from a blend of music, art and food' (ha!) - advertised with videos of famous models sailing on a luxury yacht.

Suffering attendees posted videos and photos online of the 'mass chaos' and 'a complete disaster.'Rapper Ja Rule was originally described as a co-organiser of the event, however, his layers have argued this was only for promotion purposes.

Moral of the story? Don't go to god-awful festivals. Simple.
