Just yesterday, Disclosure have announced that WILD LIFE Festival, created and curated by Rudimental and themselves, will be taking a break through 2018. In a statement, the electronic duo have said that “with a busy recording schedule ahead as we embark on album number three we’re going to give the green grass of Shoreham Airport a break throughout 2018 and come back bigger and better in 2019”.

Launched in 2015, the festival set within Shoreham's Brighton City Airport quickly grew to host legends such as Nas, Ice Cube and Chaka Khan, as well as being a platform to showcase new UK talent such as Stormzy and AJ Tracey.

Disclosure noted the significance of the festival in their progression as artists, explaining how “that inaugural year of the festival 2015 allowed us to embark on our next chapter with the release of our second album, Caracel.

Whilst the news is disappointing, Brighton still has a lot to offer in the way of music festivals throughout the year, such as The Great Escape and Boundary. In the meantime, perhaps somebody will take up the opportunity to fill the void with Gatwick or Heathrow Fest 2018.
