In advance of headlining the Jazz Re:Freshed stage at Roundhouse Rising –TriForce handpick 10 tracks that have influenced their sound for Native.

Known for their amalgamated take on nu-jazz, TriForce incorporate an array of different genres and influences into their sounds, from grime to hip-hop, and electronic to funk. Being featured on Brownswood's new London Jazz compilation We Out Here, and being played by Gilles Peterson on Worldwide FM and Radio 6 Music – the future is looking exciting for the foursome.

We caught up with TriForce to talk Roundhouse, Jazz Re:Freshed, and Brownswood...

You're headlining the Jazz Re:Freshed stage at Roundhouse Rising, which is pretty monumental - what have you got lined up for the headline slot?

A sound like you’ve never heard before, there will be a little something for everyone.

Are there any other acts you're excited to see/recommend we should catch on the programme?

Check out the Dylema Collective for some deep spoken word. We’re also looking out for our support act Ayo and the Jazzedelics (What a sick name!) that should be a vibe.

The Artist Toolkit day looks interesting too it features one of our tutors that played a role in our music growing up, Renell Shaw.

How does it feel being signed to / and involved with Jazz Re:Freshed?

We have so much love for Adam & Justin and the whole team at Jazz Refreshed none of this would be possible without them. The way they’re so helpful an supportive about every move we make.

And being featured on the new Brownswood compilation project 'We Out Here'?

It’s an honour to be a part of such an amazing complication that is available to the world on a platform like Brownwood, for many this will be their first insight into London Jazz and it’s a pleasure to be apart of those 9 bands that they will hear of.

Gilles Peterson has played a lot of your music on Worldwide FM and Radio 6 Music?

Having our music played on WWFM and Radio 6 is sick. It allows our music to get to an audience that wouldn't of heard our music otherwise.
