The Baltic Triangle is known to Liverpool as one of the most prominent creative and digital business areas in the city. From bars like Peaky Blinders to venues like Constellations there is so many exciting things about this up and coming bit of town. While the city has announced in March of 2018 to expand the Baltic Triangle, this new 2 day jazz, funk, soul and hip hop festival is the right way to kick it off.

Taking place Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th of April, On the Corner will focus on a cross section of the UK’s freshest talents.

In this festival there is a new emerging acid jazz and funk band in Liverpool that you don’t want to miss. They are just now making a name for themselves with a fresh taste of music with a four piece band. Performing previously at Constellations, The Jam Scones Quartet has captured the ears and hearts of music lovers throughout the city.

What makes this group so great is their liveliness in music: everything they play is improvised but their sound is so tight and will keep you entertained throughout the night. Capturing the essence and vibe of Constellations, this group is one you will want to keep your eye out for.

Headlining On the Corner is Fatima & The Elgo Live Band with fresh hip hop beats and smooth keys, anyone can enjoying grooving to this amazing act. Stockholm-born, London-based vocalist Fatima was one of the U.K.’s most significant RnB artists during the 2010s. Her smooth vocals and relatable lyrics will have you wanting more.

Not only is this a great opportunity for growth in the Baltic Triangle but it is helping to shed some light on acts based in Liverpool. Offering up global vibrations, local melodies and a cross section of some of the U.K.’s freshest young talent, the weekender will boast city debuts alongside creative workshops, pop-up food stalls and an independent record label market.

In addition to these acts there are more than 15 live performances in all at locations TBA somewhere in the Baltic Triangle. There will also be after parties at Brick Street, Constellations, Meraki and The Reeds.

Tickets are available here. Grab one to avoid missing out!
