Tickets for Patterns' 3rd Birthday w/ Jasper James and Optimo

This weekend sees one of Brighton's favourite venues mark their third birthday with an eye-bulging line up of day and night activity. Launched in 2015, over its three years of operations Patterns has cemented itself as one of the city's leading spots for live music, club music, and outside-of-the-box events.

On Saturday May 5th, Patterns will be welcoming guests from 2pm to 4am for a fourteen-hour day-to-night session featuring both local artists and world-renowned DJs. Plus, final release ticketholders who arrive nice and early will get one of 30 extremely limited edition Patterns third birthday tees designed by Oliver Dickson to mark the occasion.

Partying from 2pm onwards, Patterns have once again revamped their gorgeous terrace, this time with designs from graphic artist Lois O'Hara. In an annual tradition, the first weekend of May marks the opening of a series of sun-drenched terrace parties. Local heroes ATTIC curate an outdoor programme of Balearic House, Disco, and unadulterated summer vibes, whilst Brighton's favourite vegan pizzeria Purezza will be providing the eats throughout the sunny months.

Entry to the terrace parties is free all summer and holding down the tunes alongside ATTIC residents Øvre for the launch event is Jayne Winstanley, specialist in soul, disco and extremely pleasant music.

When the sun goes down, the party moves indoors and Patterns have invited 3 of Glasgow's finest exports to take the ravers through the night. 

Jasper James, stand-out DJ, producer and frequent Jackmaster collaborator, tops the billing. Having built a name for himself in Glasgow, Jasper's stock is at an all-time high following a Phonox residency and frequent appearances at the world's most prestigious clubs and festivals - Smartbar, Sub Club, Warehouse Project, Glastonbury, etcetera. Few DJs in the world are better equipped to breathe life and soul into the dancers at a 14 hour party.

Finally, Optimo is DJ duo Twitch and Jonnie Wilkes, whose legendary Optimo night in Glasgow (and around the world) mixes up techno, electro, rock and other assorted records out of leftfield.

Started in 1997, Optimo was one of the most iconic clubnights in the world. The philosophy? Anything goes. Tired of hearing 4x4 techno all night long, Optimo was founded on the belief that parties should be an all-inclusive journey, taking you to places you'd never expect, places that you'd never been. The DJ duo enacted this philosophy by mixing everything electro to rock to New York punk funk and the results were astonishing.

Now, the duo tour as Optimo, bringing their unique style to venues around the world, and few prospects are more exciting to witness in a Brighton club. A real slice of dance music history.
