Returning for what is looking to be a mammoth 22nd year, Germany’s best loved open air festival Love Family Park will be moving from its two-year Messepark Mainz home. Now set surrounding the idyllic shores of the river Main, Rüsselsheim, Love Family Park offers festival goers the perfect setting to basque in the sun and enjoy the sounds of some of the best DJ’s the scene has to offer.

This year, house and techno fans will be spoilt for choice with DJ legends like Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, Chris Liebling, Solomun, Pan-Pot, Sven Vath and many more to choose from. So, ahead of Love Family Park 2018, we have chosen our top 5 acts not to miss. For the full line-up, check the website.

Amelie Lens

Belgium’s own Amelie Lens is one of the most exciting artists in the scene at the moment. Having shot to fame over recent years this summer sees her playing mega festivals all across Europe, as well as releasing seamless productions on Second State and Drumcode to name but a few. We are super excited to see her grace the decks in Rüsselsheim for what will be an unmissable set.

Chris Liebing

Back in 1994, Chris Liebing opened the legendary Frankfurt club Spinclub, since then Liebing has been garnering the reputation of a true techno legend. Fast forward to now and the techno veteran is the driving force behind labels CLR and Spinclub Recordings, as well as being a mad producer himself. With DJ sets like no other, Chris Liebing’s sets always bring the heaviest techno chosen by a true selector.

Andhim

Hailing from Cologne, local heroes Andhim are next up on our list. With killer releases on Berlin label Super Killer, this DJ duo will be bringing their own, self-defined “super house” to Rüsselsheim. We can’t wait to see what this duo have in store for us at LFP.

Adriatique

Swiss pair Adriatique are one of the most interesting techno duos around, merging their influences of European and Detroit techno. This year has seen the duo release new single 'Ray' on Tale Of Us’ label Afterlife to widespread critical acclaim and this summer sees the duo playing sold out shows across Europe, as well as Rüsselsheim’s own Love Family Park.

Sven Vath

We could not complete this list without the man, the myth, the legend SVEN VATH. Year on year, the Love Family Park head honcho’s sets always steal the show. A key player in Germany’s electronic music scene, papa Sven perfectly curates the best techno sets. All hands up for Sven Vath bringing the heat to Germany’s best loved open air festival.
