Born out of a pure passion for the House and Techno community in Bristol, The Dark Side is a new series of events with a clear vision - to bring you hard and hypnotic techno and dark melodic electronica produced live in front of you via machines ard wires.

For a while now, Der Liebe have had their finger on the pulse of Bristol’s bustling electronic music scene and, what better way to celebrate and bring together this thriving community by throwing a series of events based around creating live electronic music featuring some of the best local Bristolian talents.

Inspired by Anjunadeep and other melodic and progressive night hosted regularly in London, The Dark Side is focused on bringing you real techno in its natural environment, the dark. You won’t find glitter and fairy lights here.

Heading up the night with live electronic music are two of Bristols very own:

One half of Bristol-based Organchrist; a live noise and industrial techno duo stirring up waves in the local scene, Karplus is a brand new solo project manned by Joe-Bob Havenlock-Barron (who’ll also be providing custom visuals) ready to be debuted at the launch event. With a hybrid and modular synth set lined up, we can’t wait to hear the noises he’ll be bringing to The Crofters Rights.

Spiky Tomato

A fresh face on the scene, Mark Beagent aka Spiky Tomato will be showcasing his hardware skills, bringing you his blend of melodic electronica, as well as new exclusive tunes.

With more music from the Der Liebe residents, Adrenomachine (live hardware and modular synths) and Irene Campos (DJ set), this looks set to be an unreal night of Berlin-standard techno, created right before your very eyes.
