Anyone else got a thirst for something fruity with all this hot weather? I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing more refreshing than the taste of a cold cider on a hot day, and our favourite being a nice cold pint of Darkfruits.

We’ve put together a list of all the best places in Cardiff that serve your favourite on tap!

Wetherspoons:

The Prince of Wales and The Gatekeeper seem to be the city’s favourite, with one located centrally on St Mary’s Street and the other on the popular Womanby Street. You can get a pint here for just £2.85- both have beer gardens for you sit down and relax, too!

(Don’t forget these are just two of eight ‘spoons in Cardiff!)

Buffalo Bar:

Located on Windsor Place, this seems to be one of the hottest indie joints of the city. They serve a variety of drinks, including the King- Darkfruits. The beer garden out back is one of the prettiest, offering a chilled-out vibe to enjoy your £3.50 pint! Buffalo also offer a loyalty scheme where you can sign up and then enjoy drinks for a little cheaper. Check ‘em out.

Walkabout:

With it being in the middle of the World Cup, Walkabout offers Darkfruits on tap where you can kick back and relax, and watch one of the many large screens TV’s offering footage of all games in Walkabout.

Brewhouse:

If you’re a fan of live music then this is the one for you. Brewhouse, too, is located on St Mary’s Street, with it having one of the best beer gardens leading into Brewery Quarter. There’s nothing better than sitting on the infamous steps with a gang of friends sipping on a cold Darkfruits, listening to the best rock covers in the background!

Live Lounge:

One of the student’s favourite joints in the city would have to serve one of students beloved drinks, fo’ sho! Known for its cheap drinks and a good night out, Live Lounge would be high up there on the list of our favourite places to drink a darkies. They also have a beer garden/seating area on the side of the venue, so get yourself down there and get a pint!

Y Plas, Student’s Union:

Popular for Yolo Wednesday’s and Juice Saturday’s, the ‘SU’ serves Darkfruits on tap throughout the week and during these extremely popular student nights. If you’re sick of drinking VK’s, then this may help your thirst for something sweet and sugary!

Clwb Ifor Bach:

This treasured indie joint is located on Womanby street, and too, is a popular spot for students! Whether you’re attending the monthly Propaganda, a gig, or just heading there for a night out, you won’t be disappointed by the indie music- dark fruit tinny combo!
