How can we support male and non-binary survivors of sexual violence?

Sexual violence can be an intimidating topic to learn about, whether you are a professional service, ally, or a survivor yourself.  In this one-hour session, Katherine Cox (Services Manager) and Sam Thomson (Outreach & Engagement Officer) from SurvivorsUK will offer a safe space to engage with the topic of sexual violence with a focus on male and non-binary survivors.

The session will cover:

  • how sexual violence impacts cis- and trans- men and non-binary people, including key statistics and barriers about reporting
  • the best ways to support a survivor (of any gender)
  • who SurvivorsUK are: what services they offer and how to access their support.

This event is open to everyone.

This event is a collaboration between the Against Sexual Violence project at Goldsmiths Students' Union and SurvivorsUK as part of our 16 Days programming. If you have any questions, please email Lou (she/they) at lou@goldsmithssu.org.

We're currently fighting to keep our funding. If you want to see community events like this continue at Goldsmiths SU, please consider supporting us. Find out more here
