Serving up a five-course meal of unique party experiences and zesty flavour explosions

Sauce is important.

Both culturally and culinarily, sauce is that little bit of extra you need to elevate an experience from a left-swipe to a right-swipe.

Pizza, for example, is delicious - one of the greatest inventions of modern times. Sauceless pizza, on the other hand? Little more than a flavourless heap of depressing protoplasm.

Sauce is an omnipresent cultural icon. I mean, could anything capture the zeitgeist of 2018 better than Heinz's new Mayochup, a disturbing hybrid of flavoursome uncertainty tagged with the catchy strapline 'Saucy Sauce'? I should think not.

Above all though, sauce is the lifeblood of the weekend. From your end of the night chips to the revitalising bacon sarnie the next morning, sauce is there, saving you from choking to death.

So, here we are, waging a war on dry nights out and food-related asphyxiation. Our first move? Bottling up the spiciest events coming up in October for you to squeeze all over your usual social routine. Napkins not provided:

Emerge w/ Ben Sterling [Underdog, Manchester] Friday October 5th

"A star rapidly rising throughout the UK and beyond” according to Data Transmission, Ben Sterling is one of the most exciting talents on Josh Butler's ORIGINS label - the same imprint that brought Bontan to the fore, as well as releasing tracks from legends like Todd Terry, Groove Armada, and Kerri Chandler.

Professing a more 'experimental' style on his upcoming release, Sterling is one of the UK's most exciting house producers and we're predicting that you won't be able to catch him in a venue as cosy as Manchester's Underdog for much longer. The 350 cap underground  rave cave gives off some serious San Junipero vibes in the best way possible. A sweet aesthetic + up and coming producer + a bad boy sound system = extreme sauce. Our pick for Manchester, no doubt.

Abandoned Warehouse Party - KÖLE [Abandoned Warehouse, Liverpool City Centre] Saturday 6th October

KÖLE have been absolutely storming Liverpool's party scene this year.

With a series of sold-out concept events on HUS's rooftop terrace, Techno raves across the channel in Amsterdam and exclusive festival afterparties, these guys are challenging the conventional club night with lateral party thinking.

Now, they've got their hands on another unique space - a giant abandoned warehouse right in Liverpool's city centre. The demand for raw, industrial spaces away from the conventional club night is high right now and KÖLE are delivering a hype-worthy rave in a brand new space that would get the 90s raver seal of approval.

With a VOID Sound System, state of the art lighting and high-powered lasers, plus Liverpool's hottest resident DJs and a fully stocked bar, this is party has all the ingredients for success - and now it's got the sauce.

Materials Presents: Peach [Cafe Tarifa, Oxford] Thursday 11th October

With a finger on the pulse and an ear to the ground when it comes to selecting selectors, Materials are back at it again with another stellar booking - Peach.

Picking up shout-outs from the likes of Hunee, Ben UFO, Pangaea, Joy O, Shanti Celeste and Pearson Sound, Peach is an artist fast-tracking her way to the top. The Canadian-born, London-based DJ, whose flawless monthly NTS show has helped snowball the hype around her, has been turning heads with exquisite blends of everything from 70s Disco to the atmospheric to the downright abstract, before landing back on earth with some face-melting techno.

Plus, Materials are giving you the opportunity to jump behind the decks as a support DJ. One lucky local will be given the chance to open the night with an emphasis on female DJs to get involved!

HOME Halloween [The Doghouse, Bristol] Saturday 27th October

This could possibly be the most underground of underground parties. Literally under the ground.

Returning to The Doghouse, Bristol, expect an immersive Halloween rave experience as HOME take the party deep into the haunted caverns of Bristol's underbelly.

After breaking through in 2016 on Hot Since 82's label Knee Deep In Sound with their tune 'Maasai', OC & Verde have earnt themselves a place in the House and Techno A-list. Picking up accolades from the likes of Pete Tong and Danny Howard, as well as grabbing a Beatport Number 1 along the way, these guys are absolutely crushing it.

This intimate 150-cap venue is exactly what you need for a proper Halloween party as OC & Verde attempt to wake the dead with a DJ set packed full of earth-shattering beats.

CarnEvil [Cannon Place, Brighton] Wednesday 31st October

Since it’s announcement, Brighton’s new warehouse venue has being gathering some serious hype. This 2500-cap venue will throw open its doors on Halloween with one of the biggest parties to hit the city in a long ol' time.

3 stages of D&B, Bass, House, Grime and more, plus live actors, funfair games, stalls, games, face painters, incredible Halloween decor, food stalls and official after-parties late into the night. Nice.

Seriously, if you’re new in town, this is the event for you. With the likes of Sub Focus, Congo Natty, DJ Zinc and more to be announced, this could be the sauciest party of the year.
