The winter period will see the launch of Jazz Club, Shanti Celeste returns for the final date of her residency, and Horse Meat Disco take on Halloween

Having firmly established itself as one of Brighton's most forward-thinking underground nightspot, Patterns' recent club programme has seen DJs like Helena Hauff, Ross from Friends, Ben UFO and Shanti Celeste host its intimate 300 capacity ‘rave cave’.

With the winter season around the corner, it's no surprise that Patterns' roster for the coming months once again breathes progressive, multi-genre energy into Brighton's nightlife scene:

Jazz Club: Mr Bongo presents Joe Armon-Jones // Launching Thursday 4th October 7.30pm

Championing the nu breed of electronically fused Jazz that has drawn Brighton locals such as Vels Trio and Footshooter to London, Jazz Club, a new regular event, launches at Patterns in October.

Each mini-series will be curated by a label, artist or collective of creatives akin to the scene. First up it's Brighton based independent record label Mr Bongo, who are inviting one of the most prodigious musicians in the new wave of jazz, Joe Armon-Jones. Ezra Collective co-founder and talented keys player, Joe is taking the London Jazz scene by storm with his combination of traditional Jazz, Hip-Hop and Dub flows.

Foundations X Jungle Junction" A History of Jungle with Randall // Friday 23rd November 11pm - 4am

Borrowing from the past is by no means uncreative - far from it. Birthed in the underground rave scene on the brink of the 90s, Jungle mesmerized a hedonistic nation with its breakbeats, deeper sub-basses and intense BPM’s that just kept on climbing. So, for the next event in our ‘History of’ series, we team up with Jungle Junction, an offshoot of Brighton’s Freerange to invite a true originator of the sound, the legendary Randall.

Foundations is Brighton’s leading weekly night. The city's best collectives, resident DJs, MCs and special guests representing the finest UK sounds each and every Friday.

Shanti Celeste's Peach Party #4 w/ DJ Stingray and Charles Green // Saturday 1st December 11pm - 4am

Following three killer events this year Shanti Celeste is back for her final Peach Party date at Patterns. For the final throwdown she invites Detroit electro wizard DJ Stingray 313 and Charles Green for what’s set to be an immense conclusion to a very memorable residency.

Sherard Ingram aka DJ Stingray has been a strong presence in the world of techno for over twenty years. His most illustrious work might have been as part of Drexciya’s live unit – he was named Stingray by Drexciya’s James Stinson. Reppin’ Detroit’s 313 with masked performances around the world, and three dozen releases – including records on labels like Planet E and Mahogani Music as well as collaborations with Dopplereffekt’s Heinrich Mueller

Eclair Fifi // Saturday 15th December  11pm - 4am

Renowned for a series of European headline tours and club residencies; from curated parties in Paris, Coachella, ADE & The Warehouse Project - balanced with special guest sets at the likes of Ed Banger’s 20 Years of Party and MoMA PS-1 in New York, Eclaif Fifi’s peerless energy is in part due to her consummate knowledge and love of weird and rare music.

Her sets traverse Latin Freestyle, italo, techno, hip hop and RnB - fearlessly peppered with emergent unsigned demos. Clair famously helped introduce PC Music by first-playing SOPHIE’s ‘Bipp’, and early A. G. Cook on BBC Radio One back when they hadn’t amassed 100 followers on SoundCloud. Her role in the LuckyMe label continues with breaking new records first, affording new releases a perfect context within her mixes and sets. When not DJing, Eclair Fifi is a model and illustrator behind numerous covers and videos including the hand-drawn portraits adorning her debut series of reissues.
