from dream to reality

On the 29th of September, Merthyr Tydfil put on a huge music festival in memory of local musician Lewis Popp who died tragically in the early hours of Sunday the 9th September. Developed between Pretty Vicious and Redstone Entertainment, Cyfarthfa Castle played host to the festival, ‘Poppfest,’ that Lewis always dreamed of putting together.

With a stellar lineup of over 20 bands, including Pretty Vicious themselves, Florence Black, Tracy Island, Adrenaline Animals, Local Enemy, Al Moses, Diggs Galliers, Dole Age, and Pastel, it was a fitting tribute to a vibrant human being and an avid supporter of live music.

With the £5000 (and counting) raised providing his Mother, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, with a fund to help her cope with a future without Lewis and the chance to celebrate his life, Poppfest was definitely an event to remember. Click here for more information...
