Now in its 16th year, the Green Man Festival in the Brecon Beacons seems truly blessed by the Welsh spirits – known for its laid-back, family friendly, something-for-everyone vibe, it seems set to deliver again in 2018.

Along with prestigious headliners Fleet Foxes and War on Drugs, Green Man have announced this morning that King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard will be headlining on Friday. Following their 5 albums in 2017 and their sell-out UK tour this February, the Australian psych rock band are one of the most exciting and innovative groups out there, with a devoted cult following.

Fellow Aussies Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever will be providing some indie goodness, and the powerhouse Joan as a Policewoman will also appear.  Cate Le Bron and Anna Calvi, both critically acclaimed, are set for a triumphant return to the festival.

Making their Green Man debut are, amongst others, Black Angels and John Maus, whose dark and lovely synth-pop album Screen Memories was released last year. Other acts freshly announced include Susanne Sundfør, Chastity Belt and Pictish Trail.

Running from August 16-19, the festival have lots new artsits this year. Curious about some of them? Check out the festival’s playlist featuring 36 of their new acts here!
