Looking for an electronic festival that's a bit different? Look no further...
Every week an incredible festival line-up is announced, and it's getting harder and harder to choose between them. Luckily, we're here to help you out.
Lost Village is a true festival experience, where the lines between reality and fantasy are blurred, bringing you the finest electronic acts in an immersive festival setting.
We've picked out 8 artists we think will have you wandering into the Lincolnshire woods this summer:
Four Tet
Twenty years after the release of his 36-minute debut single, ‘Thirtysixtwentyfive’, Keiran Hebden, AKA Four Tet is a key player in the electronic music world.
His latest album, New Energy, is a wide-ranging record that connects sounds and ideas from his back catalogue with his latest club experiments. Plus, his latest live shows at Village Underground have been nothing short of spectacular:
Mount Kimbie
With the release of their third album late into 2017, Mount Kimbie returned with arguably one of the best volumes of electronic music of the year. With features from King Krule and James Blake, this album almost feels like a collection of single-worthy tracks.
Expanding upon their already well-established sound, the duo venture into newer territory, infusing elements and ideas of Punk and Krautrock with their favoured analogue synth and drum machines to create a punchy, churning collection of songs strong enough to challenge some of the recent garage/psych-rock releases.
Ben UFO
With a reputation built solely off his skills as a selector and a mixer, co-founder of Hessle Audio, Ben UFO, is the man of the moment and one of the hottest DJs in the world right now.
Ben UFO is one of the few people out there making a name for himself purely as a DJ, having never ventured into production himself. However, in a cryptic social media post, with a mix entitled ‘28.02.18 1PM’, could this all be about to change?
Hunee
With an endless love and knowledge for the music, Hunee is up there as one of the best selectors, working tireless to enrich the lives of his listeners. Stepping onto the scene in 2009, Hunee's musical eclecticism, a reflection of his time spent living in Berlin, Amsterdam and L.A, is perhaps what makes him a cut above the rest when it comes to selecting. Never afraid to throw some disco curve-ball at a techno record, catch Hunee for infectious grooves and some rich house heritage.
Helena Hauff
Hamburg's Helena Huff will be heading to the Lost Village to bring her stripped back, strictly analogue electro sound. Her love of classic hardware and skill behind the decks has taken her on an intense journey to being one of the top names in her field, earning her the number 12 spot in Mixmag's "Top 20 DJs of 2016", a Radio 1 Residency, a legendary B2B set with Ben UFO at Sonar 2017 and more.
Avalon Emerson
Berlin-based DJ and producer Avalon Emerson took a big step up in 2017, ascending to the top of the underground scene with her refreshing DIY attitude and approach to everything.
The ex-software designer's sets are full of transcendent, spaced-out techno, and she often throws unreleased material, demos and remixes from the likes of Slowdive, Octa Octa, Lena Platonos and Bwana into the mix. A true underground A-lister, be sure not to miss out!
Peggy Gou
With a sound somewhere in between Detroit, London, and Berlin, Peggy Gou is a highly unique and singular artist on a creative journey. Based in Berlin, the Korean DJ and producer has been turning heads in underground circles with regular streams of high quality mixes and highly conceptual tracks lined up on a host of labels.
Mall Grab
A fresh face on the scene, Mall Grab is breaking the mould on his way to worldwide recognition. Taking his name from the way posers carry their skateboards, the 23-year old moved from his hometown of Newcastle, Australia to London in order to immerse himself into the scene rather than trying to make it via the internet. Expect hazy, lo-fi house from this rising star.
This is only a handpicked selection of the huge list of artists and DJs coming up at Lost Village, with many, many more talents being showcased over the weekend!
