With another sunny weekend on the way, we've put together a list of the best beer gardens in Manchester this summer...

The Oast House

This Spinningfield hotspot has recently reopened after a complete transformation of its courtyard. Modelled on an old hop house, the bar offers a rustic aesthetic and a cozy atmosphere. A new cocktail menu comes with the renovation, with twists on classic cocktails taking centre stage, such as the frozen peach melba bellini, with live music taking place every day inside the bar.

Rain Bar

This stunning spot overlooking the canal lock is the perfect place for a post-work beverage. Its large patio with handy picnic benches offers a comfy setting for its reasonably priced drinks and sunset views.

Dukes 92

A popular watering hole in Manchester's Castlefield area, Dukes 92 is a bar and grill offering a huge open space with a waterside terrace and outdoor grills.

Sinclair's Oyster Bar

Situated opposite Selfridges and New Cathedral Street, Sinclair's is always buzzing during the football season, offering a wide variety of special gins and ales. The large beer garden in the centre of the city is regularly bustling with eager drinkers, so best get down early to claim a spot, come rain or shine.

256 Wilmslow Road

Out of the city in the student district of Fallowfield, 256 is perfect for a cheap pint and good music. With a huge outdoor beer garden, big screens showing regular sporting fixtures and beers for £2.30, it's the perfect student spot and even turns into a club at 11pm, offering disco nights, open mic and resident DJs.

The Wharf

Another popular choice for a beer in the sunshine is Castlefield's The Wharf, a family-friendly quaint beer garden which also welcomes canine companions. Overlooking Castlefield basin, this bar is perfect for food and drinks on a bank holiday weekend.

Barca Bar

Another Castlefield favourite is Barca Bar, offering a unique holiday-feel atmosphere, with a decked terrace and barbecue. Having recently undergone a large refurbishment, the bar offers food, room hire and live music, and is also the only bar in Castlefield screening Sky Sporrts.
