Rhythm Cult officially launched in 2014, but it was swirling around the brain of mastermind Paul Loraine for a decade prior to its first release.

Born in Guernsey, Loraine was moulded by the intimate nightlife of the island, before moving to Bristol and eventually, Rhythm Cult's spiritual home, Barcelona. In the early 2000s, with six years of experience DJing at the infamous Golden Monkey Club in Guernsey, Bristol was the obvious destination for any ambitious, young selector. There, Loraine set up his first clubbing brands: Timbuk2 and Dojo Lounge. In 2010, now neck-deep in the music industry and with an irresistible tide of underground dance music seeping out of Barcelona's streets, Loraine made the decision to relocate to the Spanish cultural capital.
Here, he would meet Indigo Raw boss Mirus, who would impart on Paul the mystical secrets of managing a record label. Today, Rhythm Cult boasts a throng of varied and talented artists including Deadbeat, Portable, and Aquarius Heaven.
One of he most recent releases is an ominous deep-house heavy-hitter from label mainstay Funk D'Void named Soul Destruction. Funk D'Void, along with Paul Lorraine and Suze Rosser will be performing at the Rhythm Cult Label Showcase at MONO on Saturday 27th of May. Expect unreleased Rhythm Cult weapons, flawless transitions and friendly vibes in the tunnel.
Tirelessly prolific, Rhythm Cult's list of upcoming releases is as long as it is exciting. With music on the way from Panorama Bar resident Dinky, as well as a slew of upcoming international artists in Slumber (USA), Nacho Vossler (ESP) and Wesley Blake (BER). The mix is a 90m exploration of Barcelona's cultural underground, Rhythm Cult releases past and present and topped off with the odd curveball. Listen:
