Liverpool heavyweights RAW return after a four-month summer break to bring DJ Zinc to the Williamson Tunnels.

For the first instalment of a mouth-watering three part series, Liverpool promoters RAW have invited the legendary DJ Zinc to celebrate their 2nd birthday. DJ Zinc has been on a mission the last 12 months, providing the BBC essential mix at the end of 2016 and following it up with a tireless tour schedule.

The Williamson Tunnels have been a firm favourite for the RAW crew - a venue which has seen them invite the likes of Royal-T and DJ Q over the past two years. The tunnels themselves, besides being a fantasticly unique space, are shrouded in mystery. They were commissioned by the eccentric businessman Joseph Williamson between 1810 and 1840, but reportedly, his motives were always a secret, and so the true purpose of the tunnels was never discovered.

When asked publicly, Williamson cited the fact that their creation kept dozens of labourers in work. However, we're now starting to suspect that Mr. Williamson had the foresight to predict that these tunnels would one day become a haven for Liverpool's dance music community. Nice one, Joseph.

But perhaps the most exciting development for ticketholders to the Williamson Tunnels event is the release of DJ Zinc's newest EP - mammoth collab piece Full House. Assembling a dream team of UK bass producers, which stretches back to OG names like MJ Cole as well as drawing in newer talents like My Nu Leng, each song on the six-track release sees Zinc team up with a different champion of the UK bass music scene.

The EP was released on August 25th and you can listen to it here or stream DJ Zinc x My Nu Leng - Crawler, below.

But it doesn't stop there for RAW. Keep an eye out for their next two parties on November 11th and December 9th, which are set to complete the three-part autumn series of events. We have it on good authority that part two will be announced shortly after DJ Zinc's set at the Williamson Tunnels, and, in true RAW style, the DJ bookings will blow you away.

The boys at RAW have gone from strength to strength since launching 3 years ago and have been shredding the scene up since. Executing sell-out events with atmospheres that few have managed to recreate in Liverpool. Expect some solid events from RAW this year - with DJ Zinc warming up with what is set to be a monumental showcase of Autumn/Winter events.

You'd be silly to miss out.
