Taylor Swift's new music video dropped a whole 30 minutes late. Twitter reacted in the only way it knew how...

Taylor Swift dropped her newest album reputation in November 2017, and a string of successful singles, videos and performances have followed making her return to the charts a triumphant one. Everything she’s done has been promised and delivered on time… that is, until now.

Announcing that that there was a second video for her latest single ‘Delicate’, and that Spotify would be the exclusive place to see it, fans eagerly awaited the extra content Swift was going to dish out at midnight EST on March 29.

But midnight came… and went. Havoc broke out amongst Swifties everywhere, and luckily Twitter managed to capture some of the reaction. There were questions.

Some people got lyrical.

(FYI if you did have to wait until New Year’s Day, that’s 277 days. So, unlikely. Just saying.)

The minutes ticked by, and still no video. The Swifties emotions were at an all-time high.

So, as all good online meltdowns do, they turned to the memes.

Some fans were keeping it real:

And others used this time to ponder just how much of an impact Taylor Swift seems to have had on the way we listen and consume our music…

But finally, the new video made an appearance. Thirty minutes late, though it felt much longer.

As to whether it was worth the wait, that’s debatable. Just don’t let these guys know if you didn’t like it… there’s a lot of them, and they’re all armed with memes.
