It was an insane night of partying on the 17th of February, with live music from Jax Jones taking us back to the summer clubbing and festival vibes.

We all know Jax Jones for his catchy tunes and I can definitely say that he brought these to his set on the stage at Trent SU.
The atmosphere was alive and energetic with a variety of years attending the event. There was no-one in both the R&B room and main room not dancing or singing out loud to all the songs being played, which made the night even more enjoyable!

The energetic atmosphere was mainly made by the songs being played with the likes of Jax Jones’s popular tunes ‘You Don’t Know Me’ and ‘Housework’ along with his other creative remixes. Not only that though, the variety of lighting patterns and colour really revealed the factors that make Trent the best nights out as the lights changed with the beat and tune of the songs.

The level of enthusiasm in the room shined through the different groups of friends dancing in their own circle with other people they clearly didn’t know, holding drinks in their hands and having the best time. Seeing that and being within that is what really makes a good event for me.

Throughout the night, I met many different people including some from other universities such as Birmingham and Essex that came to Nottingham just to see Jax Jones. It was amazing to see them enjoying their night in a different student union from their own.
I feel like the event overall was amazing and exciting, obviously showed from the number of students that turned up to the event.

Jax Jones’s set, in general, was insane and playing his most popular songs with other remixes during his set created the best atmosphere in the student union. It was such a good night and I’m really looking forward to more popular events like this to be carried out at the SU again!
