After adverse weather conditions brought the country to a halt, buses in Bristol are back up and running.
The majority of the First Bus services have been resumed across Bristol and Bath, so good riddance to long trudging through the snow towards the shop which would inevitably be closed.
Some of the busses will be working with reduced frequency, diversions or delays whle the snow is still causing havoc, but transport across the city is back.
Wessex Busses are still suspended and are “undertaking route assessments” to check the safety of the roads before resuming.
All buses were suspended on Thursday, March 1, due to the heavy snow brought by Storm Emma. It affected transport across the whole country, with two separate weather fronts disrupting plans up north and down south.
Be sure to stay up-to-date with First Bus’ schedule and info with their Facebook, Twitter and website as they will be updating it every hour. They will also be accepting rail tickets on their busses today, after several train journeys were delayed or cancelled.
Stay safe, keep warm and have some fun with the lustrous snow while you’re at it! Britain in the Spring. How else do we spend it?
