Topping nightlife havens such as Bristol, Manchester, & London...

A bold claim yes, but the guys at TickX did some research, and found that Brighton had the most electronic music events per person.

Most us Brightonians know we are spoilt for choice when it comes to electronic nights, our city has steadily cultivated a reputation for hosting some of the most innovative talent from around the world. More recently though, our seaside Shangri-La has become a hotbed for the country's best and brightest to call their home, due to it's creative and thriving cosmopolitan vibe.

Sometimes caught in the sonic shadow of London, a hub for all the best artists and nightclubs, just down to its sheer size and population, Brighton's impressive punch is often overlooked and underappreciated.

Well, now we have the data which showed London scoring a measly 26th place overall, with only 0.5 electronic events per 1000 people. On the other hand, Brighton dominated with a monstrous 3.2 events. Once you crunch the numbers, Brighton has nearly seven times more electronic music events than London per person. Other cities that cut the top 10 included Manchester, Bristol, and Leeds.

Electronic music has always been a way of life here in Brighton, since the days of big-beat and Fatboy Slim. Clubs such as Patterns, The Arch, and previously Mono (R.I.P) have catalysed the regeneration since, hosting some of the UK's best events.

It's safe to say that our seaside's resorts reputation as the best city in the UK for electronic music is here to stay.
