The Hip-hop Boyband's first album since singing for RCA landed right at the top of the charts

Iridesence, the fourth studio album from Hip-Hop collective and self-proclaimed boyband BROCKHAMPTON has debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 1.

After jumping ahead of good ol' Josh Groban who returned with his ninth album, Bridges, the group secured the top spot with 101,000 units earnt in its first week (units are made up of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums).

As their first release for RCA after signing a $15 million deal back in March, their success hasn't come from traditional giant label marketing.

The DIY aspect of the group has been fundamental in their achievement. Their first three albums, Saturation, Saturation II and Saturation III all dropped in 2017 with the 14-member group consisting of rappers, singers, producers, artists, videographers and more all working tirelessly to push their music out there.
