Capcom x native: Introducing Street Fighter 6 to a new generation of players
Street Fighter is an online game - but Capcom knew something the numbers don't capture: gaming is fundamentally social. The team partnered with native to create something different: a live Street Fighter arena at The BIG Student Lock-In where students didn't watch gameplay, they *joined in*. The result: 750+ students played Street Fighter 6 in one day, with 36+ hours of live gameplay attention and 3+ minutes of engagement per student. That's 60x longer attention than a typical social ad.
What made it work: lowering the barrier to entry. In a relaxed crowd with everyone learning together, students who'd never played the game before felt comfortable stepping up. Many were trying it for the first time - turning curiosity into trial and introducing a new generation to Capcom. One day of in-person community building did more than any digital campaign could.
